The God of English
by
Mia Tryst

She wrote, English must contain a desk and windows by Levolor:
One to lay down my words, the other to see. The page, however
must seed the room. And the dimensions of the room must be set
to three hundred by fifty by thirty cubits, large enough to collect
one of every thing: door and hasp, hell and hath, absence and malice,
flora and fauna, love and zero, egg and chicken, rib of man and phallus.
Into his mouth I will breathe myself so that he cannot live without me.
The rains will come of their own accord, and the rest I’ll make up by Sunday.
